I think with boxing we have a code, what happens in sparring stays in sparring, boxers don't come out and release pictures or talk about KD another boxer, but at the end of the day, Conor isn't a boxer and he is trying to sell a fight. The only problem is he choose the wrong person to do this to, Paulie M has a big mouth and he would keep talking, he wanted to help sell their fight before, considering he works for showtime but if the BS team Conor pulled, Paulie would go the extra mile to expose him now.
