Your legs help you absorb punches. It's why the first thing that is drilled into you movementwise is not crossing your feet.

Safe to say that jumping in the air to throw a punch is one of the dumbest things you could do as a boxer.

Cotto either fights guys well beneath him skills-wise or fights guys for a nice payday. And he's not getting a nice payday for this one. This is just one of those fights to get him to his next nice payday.

Cotto actually got paid already when RNS bought out his contract. I'm sure he at least got $5 million with that. Plus whatever Golden Boy is going to pay him for the fight $1 million or $2 milllion or whatever it is. I'm sure purses will be available the week of the fight.

And what is this Mayweather-McGregor fight?

          It's a payday fight.
Sure it's the event of the day and will be watched by lots of people and will make $$$$ on ppv, etc.....
          It's a money grab.
This will definitely help Floyd's pockets but does nothing to enhance his legacy.

The PPV's I've bought and supported so far this year were Golovkin-Jacobs and Ward-Kovalev 2. The next PPV I'll buy is Canelo-Golovkin.

I have no problem with the Cotto-Kamegai fight itself. Cotto is coming back from a 21 month layoff, about to be 37 years old soon, coming off a loss. I didn't expect his first fight back to be against a top fighter. That will be in his next fight. The styles of Cotto and Kamegai will make for an entertaining fight for as long as it lasts. I've never seen Cotto or Kamegai in a boring fight. Not the best fight, but with the circumstances and situation Cotto is returning from it's normal, standard and understandable.

I'll be watching both fights without spending money on them and 24/7 afterwards. I'm only spending money on food and drink. As a boxing fan, I can't ask for more than that for these type of fights being presented on August 26th.

Oh sure I'm not saying he's not getting paid, but I mean PAID. Like for a Canelo rematch PAID. Or some fight like that where he'd make $5M, maybe $8M or 8 digits. I think thats the game he's playing ultimately not this $1M, $2M a fight game.

Its the most entertaining event (not just fight) of August 26. And not sure what you even mean with the rest of your remarks. I don't give a f#ck that anyone is money grabbing. Cotto is trying to money grab at the level he's at & Floyd is money grabbing at the level he's at. Canelo is money grabbing at the level he's at & traded money for potential face of boxing status the last couple years by not taking on legit challengers. Sadly the sport is about money grabs at this level far too often. Doesn't make the Cotto fight more interesting to me than the 24/7 for Canelo vs GGG.

And? Not sure how this is relevant to anything except your own money situation.

And? Like I said I'm still looking forward to 24/7 Canelo vs GGG more than this fight. We disagree thats all. Fair play to you, but fair play to me to for feeling how I feel.

Idk why money spent is so important to anything being discussed, but I'll probably be somewhere with a crowd or at someones house to watch the whole Floyd vs Conor card (like Tank + think the alleged Jack vs Cleverly fight could be interesting) since this is such an event fight unlike anything we see in boxing very often (Floyd vs Manny was the last event fight & Floyd vs Canelo & Floyd vs ODLH were probable the times previous to that with Tyson fights being the main event fights before that) & ignore the other two "events" of that night til the day after. And after I watch the post fight presser for Floyd vs Conor & see Conor challenging Floyd to a fight on his turf, the cage, I'll watch 24/7 & then maybe the next week I'll dig up the Cotto fight. If Cotto loses I might dig it up sooner, within a couple days probably.

There is a reason why those weird movements are not used in a boxing match. I'll let you guess that reason.

hey might as well try it, maybe he can confuse Floyd, Floyd is used to basic boxing rules fighters, if Conor pretends to jump at him or fakes a leg kick Floyd could drop his hands or flinch

Conor has nothing to lose, there is no rule where it says he cannot fake lifting his leg up as long as he doesn't actually throw a kick.

This right here. Conor is going to be doing some wierd different things and it will catch Floyd by surprise. I seen Cortez interview as well as Paulie, and they both were saying how Conor is doing things they never ever seen done before in the sport of boxing. Im extremely curious
