Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Dares Rigondeaux To Do 'Winner Takes All' Bout

Fans have been calling for Vasyl Lomachenko to face Guillermo Rigondeaux for a long time, in what would be a 'superfight' of the lower weight classes. Lomachenko defends his WBO world super featherweight crown on August 5th against Miguel Marriaga, live on BoxNation. The double-Olympic gold medallist is keen to unify the division before potentially moving up a division.

This is their way of saying "No, thanks." Disappointing.

Loma is ducking the fight by saying this....

Bob Arum working his magic still. If this doesn't benefit him it won't be happening. The rest of humankind needs to chill.

It should happen at the lowest weight Loma can make without being drained. Since he's been bulking up in anticipation of a move up to 135, I'm not sure he can make anything below 130 now, but if he can still make 128 comfortably, I'd love to see it as low as possible that he can still make comfortably.

Rigo having to move up in weight sucks, but as we saw with Canelo-Chavez, being over-drained even by 1 pound is much worse than having to move up even 10 pounds. Whatever Lomachenko honestly, in his heart, can make without being drained, that's the weight I'd like to see, but if 130 is as low as he can get now, then 130 it is.

Rigondeaux already offered to do it at 130, so if Loma were to take the coward Floyd/Ward perspective of, "I will take every single advantage over my opponent that I can pressure them into agreeing to, so too bad, he already said 130," then the weight wouldn't even be negotiable at this point. But as a true sportsman, and for honor, Lomachenko can offer a lower weight in good faith, and say, "I know you offered to come up to 130, but I can still make 128, and I know that would be more fair for you, so I am willing to do 128," that would be great too.

But like I said, I don't know if he can still make 128, because he's been bulking up in anticipation of a move to 135. So I really don't know. Ideally, it would be at 126 or 128, even 129 would be better than 130, but if it's at 130, then it's at 130, and Rigondeaux will share in the blame for that for declining the fight at 126 when Lomachenko was still there.

By the way, if there are any anti-white fans thinking about posting it should be at 126 just because they hate white fighters, just remember you thought that way if GGG-Ward negotiations ever happen. Because I bet then, instead of saying "it still needs to happen at 168" like you're thinking this still needs to happen at 126, you will probably argue the opposite, how Ward already moved up to 175 so it has to happen there or not at all. Just saying!

Bob "POS" Arum won't let this fight happen after his previous star was so easily dismantled by Rigo. Don't hold your breath.

That was last week, this week it's 500k if Rigo wins.

                    The offers are getting worse.
