If Hearn wanted to get him in the ring with a 44 year old it should be Amir Mansour. That could of been a 10 or 12 round co-feature with the WBC regional belts they both have on the line. It could have doubled as a WBC eliminator. Mansour has the WBC USNBC title & Whyte has the WBC International title. The WBC kind of screwed Mansour as they said the winner of Mansour/Kauffman would get a #5 ranking along with the USNBC title. He is ranked #19 instead. Michael Grant is done. I would have accepted Derric Rossy or Joey Dawejko instead of Grant. These European fighters sure like to fight old recycled names.
