Comments Thread For: Aloyan Gets WBC Belt in Second Pro Fight, Fedor Chudinov Wins

2012 Olympic bronze medalist Mikhail "Misha" Aloyan of Russia won the vacant "silver" silver championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC) at super flyweight, with a twelve round unanimous decision over Nicaraguan Marvin Solano. Solano went down in the eighth round, but forced Aloyan to work the entire twelve rounds. Aloyan periodically missed some punches, but he had a big advantage and deservedly won. The scores were 118-110, 117-110, and 119-108.

How many WBC belts are there? Diamond, emerald, silver, gold... Such a rubbish sanctioning body.

With all these belts, WBC should be able to float Floyd Mayweather, who is broke and desperate for cash, a loan.

Very impressive start to Aloyan's pro career. Looks like he could be getting a title shot within five or six bouts, and against a strong champion too
