I'm somewhat surprised to how similar both of their approaches are towards the opponent to create the angles where the fighters cannot defend from their attacks.

I said lomachenko reminds me of a prime pacquiao with his footwork but just doesnt have the snap manny had on his punches.
Good breakdown. Lomachenko uses the pacquiao style side step very often, you dont see many fighters use this, pacquiao doesn't move like thst anymore because his legs are gone but it was his signature strength was his footwork.

Loma keeps his feet in the right places at the right times. He controls the majority of the ring, maintains the majority of the ring behind him and puts himself in advantageous positions at all times instead of the other way around. Pac has good legs, but never been a fan of his "feet". Huge difference.

He also puts himself in peculiar positioning, often times spinning himself into a corner or allowing his opponent an escape route by stepping places he shouldn't. Those are uneducated movements. He has good feet, but not smart feet.

Overall Lomachenko is more technical and Pacquiao is more unorthodox.
