Comments Thread For: Ex-UFC Fighter Passes Away After KO Loss in Boxing Match

An MMA fighter who was left in critical condition after being knocked out during a boxing match on Friday has died, his family has confirmed. "It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today," Hague's sister, Jackie Neil said in a statement Sunday. "He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him so greatly."

Always sad when anyone dies .. but what a crappy article at least could have had the respect to say the poor guy's name in the first sentence instead of just an MMA fighter...

Pretty sad. McGregor's gonna see this and pull out of the Mayweather fight.

This is an indicator that Mma fighters should stay away from professional boxing matches and vise versa. Even if a Mayweather sweepstake is involved.

Sad, whenever I read things like this I realise most fans don't appreciate what it takes to fight through knockdowns and injuries. Fighters are a different breed.

Damn, I remember watching Tim. He had some good scraps at HW. It's a wicked business. RIP brother.

Damn thats brutal! Rip.... On another note its strange how no one is mentioning the multiple rabbit punches by KKKOVALEV last night.... i wonder why that is... Also i wonder why no once complained when tony weeks let Maidana hit mayweather with at least 4 low blows 2 of which were clearly intentional to buy more time....... If we are going to pretend to care about fighters and their health then all fans should be against rabbit punching and ball punching from all fighters.... Cant pick and choose what to be outraged by.....

funny how some fans pretend to care about fighters well being but never mention guys like GGG and Kovalevs rabbit punching... Behind the head seems to be the favorite target of russians and ukranians!
