I keep seeing people claim all these illegal low blows but post only 1 gif. Kovalev was faking low blows because he was hurt by body shots. The last shot was low but that was because Koavlev was bent over already finished.

This is the fight in a nutshell. In the final round, Kovalev was hurt by three legal body shots. He faked being hit low and Weeks called bull****. But Ward still gave him 10-15 seconds to recover. Then Ward wrecked his ass with a counter right to the head that had Kovalev on ***** street. Landed a couple more to the head and body, bringing a noticeable grimace to Kovalev's face. Then in the final barrage, he doubled him over with another legal body shot. Kovalev stayed doubled over, not even trying to protect himself. And that's what caused the final two shots to hit him low.

you broke his balls. can you imagine if that was kovalev hitting low? this people are incredible. like it or not wart won both fights involved in a lot of controversy and people will always remember that.

from what I saw all last 3 punches Ward landed were low. No doubt Kovalev was breaking down and gassing but an illegal blow IS AN ILLEGAL BLOW.

I think the bigger point is the fight should not have been stopped there. Kovalev should have been given by law the 5 minutes to recover from the clear illegal blow. An then Ward could have finished him off properly and people wouldn't have so much to say about it.

I think thats the ending most of us would have preferred to see. It's 1 thing when the punches are borderline it's a another thing when the punch is clearly low and the ref standing right there looking at it. Thats suspect an it gives Kov an excuse.

But for the record I thought Ward would win anyway. Ward not the type of fighter to lose twice in a row he makes adjustments like Floyd in rematches.

Once again, Kovalev was unprepared to take on the best fighter he faced. He knew what kind of fighter he was facing. Yes he threw more punches but he gassed even faster. Ward took the fight to him and he couldn't hold up. You and him can say it was the low blows but **** happens in boxing. His job was to win the fight despite Ward's tactics (dirty or not). Whether they're controversial they still count as wins and losses.

Blame the ref, fact is Ward was slaying him dare i say KKK could have walked away with an injury. He bent over 3 times thats illegal and how isnt that a clear indicator HE WAS HURT!!! Stop trying to take credit from Ward
