Absolute proof Ward blows weren't low

This thread right here will end all discussions. If you disagree with this thread then you disagree with your own two eyes. You can right click on these videos and slow them down 1/2 speed for slo mo

This is Tony Weeks giving the fighters instructions, telling them what is low and what isn't low. He clearly shows the beltline is a legal blow on Kovalev

This is Ward in the 7th hitting Kovalev on the beltline and Kovalev faking like it's a low blow.

This is the 8th round. Ward clearly hits Kovalev twice on the beltline two times. This was the beginning (as well as the previous post) of Kovalev looking for a way out. Toney Weeks tells Kovalev it's good on the beltline. Once again, you can right click on the video and slow it down

This is the right hand that took Kovalev's soul. You can see Ward continuing the body work, no low blows

Ward with more body work. All legal. Right click and slow it down if you don't believe me

The final nail in the coffin. Kovalev not protecting himself. The ropes aren't holding him up so it's not a KD. No standing 8 count allowed. Kovalev is defenseless and Weeks makes the right call and gives Kovalev a way out like he was looking for. And the final shot was legal

TONEY WEEKS SAID THE BELTLINE WAS LEGAL IN THE DRESSING ROOM AND DURING THE PRE FIGHT INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!

I didn't see Tony Weeks waving at the Hublot logo below the belt which is where several of the fight-ending shots ended up landing.

Yes Ward did good work and a lot of the clips you posted show clean body work. I think the third clip has what looks like a low swiping right hand; even slowing it down the punch is blurry so it's hard to tell. That's true of a lot of these clips, unfortunately the video quality makes it hard to make a judgment.

The last clip, the stoppage in question, is IMO clearly low from the other angles I've seen, you can't see it in that clip because of the angle where Ward is standing.

Unfortunately the quality on these clips isn't good enough to where you can make a good call. Too many blurred frames when slowed to 1/2 or 1/4th speed, not the best angles on several shots either.

That left hook to the liver at 1.02 of round 8 really hurt Kovalev, that did the most damage imo. Kovalev was already unsteady from that right hand, you can see him grimace when the hook lands and the rest is history. Ward did land some low blows, but the shots that really hurt Kovalev were legal.

Also, there's an interview where JDJ says he's not surprised that Kovalev reacted so strongly to getting hit to the body, but John said he couldn't elaborate right now. Pretty much sounded like Kovalev was injured in some way and was really soft in the body. Makes sense because Kovalev acted like he was getting murdered in the midsection, on shots that weren't THAT low.

Kov and Duva should have saved face like JDJ did and just been gracious in defeat.

EXACTLY!!! Kovalev was complaining about borderline low shots, on the beltline, which Weeks said were legal blows before the fight

Everyone I watched thought those punches Ward was throwing might be low and that was before they showed the replays later on, let alone before Kovalev had anything to say about the stoppage.

Best thread of the night. All that crusher bull**** until he's the one getting hit. Then its crying to the ref about legal bodyshots from a guy he said hits like a girl.

i dont think you understand what counts as a low blow. if any part of wards glove touches below that it counts as a low blow, but you seem to think its the opposite way and that if any part of wards glove goes above the line its legal. that is not correct. these vids are also crap quality. ive seen better quality where its clear many were low
