Ward detractors don't have a leg to stand on, they're just salty they predicted a stoppage for Kovalev twice and the first fight went 12 rounds with Ward winning and the second fight Kovalev lasted only 8 rounds cause his stamina was even worse than when he "overtrained", his defense to body punches was non existent, his head was target practice for Ward and it was Ward who got the stoppage.
all the low blows and constant cheating is a pretty strong leg to stand on. what do ward fans have to stand on? he briefly hurt kovalev therefore all his cheating didn't matter or happen?

Bottom line: Kovalev couldn't get it done BUT there was nothing borderline about those low blows. Ward was purposely hitting him low, you can see it clearly on the replays. The stoppage was premature. Whoever thinks those shot were not low is lying to themselves or they need to get their eyes checked. Fiasco of a fight. Wards a cheat but they let him get away with it.

That was a textbook stoppage. The ropes weren't holding him up so Weeks couldn't rule a KD. There is no standing 8 count. Kovalev wasn't protecting himself. What was Weeks supposed to do?Last edited by Motorcity Cobra; 06-18-2017, 05:01 AM.

Ward is like Floyd would never be able to win fight outside a merica.
Always controversy and I'm getting tired of it

I thought a couple of the final blows were low but You are over exaggerating what happened here. The damage in the 8th was from legal blows. Then kov wanted out and he found a way to quit.
Motor city is also correct that weeks made it clear what would be considered low at the start and in the dressing room. He was consistent with his pre fight instructions.
