Comments Thread For: Jean Pascal: Winning is The Only Option With Eleider Alvarez

Jean Pascal (31-4-1, 18 KOs), a former WBC 175-pound champion who has faced some of the world's best light heavyweights over the past decade, admits that he can't afford to lose this Saturday night, when he faces undefeated Eleider Alvarez (22-0, 11 KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Photo by Stephanie Trapp. Pascal vs. Alvarez will be the Showtime televised co-feature to the light heavyweight rematch between Adonis Stevenson and Andrzej Fonfara, who collide for the WBC championship.

PAscal's best win has been against an exposed Bute with a dented confidence. Other than that he's lost against his big name opponents - Kovalev, Hopkins, Forch. Pascal is basically the gatekeeper between B and A level fighters at LHW

Alvarez's resume is pretty s*** honestly. His best win is against Chilemba and other than a shot Bute, hasn't fought anyone else of note. I'll give Pascal a chance to pull this off at least he beat a prime dawson, gave Hopkins some trouble and showed he can hang with most of the top dogs.

I won alot of money on Alvarez when he beat Chilemba, but he was very very lucky with that decision, he lost the fight imo...

He's not very good but he should still have enough to beat a shot pascal...

I think Pascal will lose even though I never saw the other guy fight. I think Kovalev knocked a lot of the fight out of Pascal. No matter who trains him Pascal has poor stamina and a pathetic punch output per round.

Big props to Pascal for always getting in there and fighting the best. He got destroyed against Kovalev but a surprise against Alvarez isn't out of the question. Go Jean!
