Probably. Just like Joshua will probably be stripped for making a contractually obligated rematch with Wlad. And Indongo will likely be stripped for fighting the universally recognized best fighter in his division. Its a joke. I don't understand why people take the sanctioning bodies seriously. And throughout the 00s, they became close to irrelevant. Really don't understand how they've made a comeback. All of the sanctioning bodies are scum but Canelo has no reason to be bitter about last year. It's not like the WBC came out of nowhere and pressured Canelo. Cotto was supposed to defend against Golovkin but they paid step aside money and WBC said that's fine but the Cotto/Canelo winner has to come to a deal with Golovkin right after. They had plenty of heads up.
Canelo is really playing in to the perception that he's a big baby. Maybe he's actively trying to get people to hate him so that he can get people to pay to see him lose. Sort of like what was happening with Floyd
