Comments Thread For: Arum Admits Crawford-Thurman Fight Nowhere Near Happening

NEW YORK Even Bob Arum pumped the brakes on a potential welterweight showdown between Terence Crawford and Keith Thurman. Crawford mentioned moving up from 140 pounds to 147 to challenge Thurman immediately after dominating Felix Diaz for 10 rounds Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. After discussing preferable fights against Manny Pacquiao and fellow super lightweight champion Julius Indongo, Crawford told HBO's Max Kellerman, "Keith Thurman or whoever, let's go. I'll move up and fight anybody."

Arum is PETRIFIED of a CRAWFORD vs PACQUIAO fight. After Pac beats up on the school teacher CRAWFORD should be next right?????

Haha i am sure Arum can handle his business. He been doing so for 50 or so yrs. Its a passing of torch fight and after crawford becomes undisputed champ at 140 he probably fights Pac at around 144 and hopefully beats him and then up to 147 beat up danny garcia, porter, and thurman. IF those guys dont do the price duck

Arum said it. How come the first time Crawford ever called out anyone good, he did it with Thurman who is about to have surgery, and Pacquiao who already has another fight scheduled? Why didn't Crawford call out Thurman last year? It would be closer to happening if he had.

It would be much easier for bob to make the PAC fight but I don't think PAC wants it.

Arum saying TC won't fight a Haymon fighter?? No way. I don't believe that.

Of course this old fuc.k won't risk TC against a fighter of a different promoter. The sad man has been doing it for DECADES.

Pacquiao's bout is on July 2. Now that Crawford called him out why can't they be each other's next fight after that?
