Now to clear things up Im glad he quit, cuz I am not a piece of **** that wishes long term injury on him or any other boxer. And I think he is good for boxing. I just dont see how he keeps using that stoppage loss as a highlight...he did outpoint Porter which is actully his significant achievement
He isn't using it as a highlight other than the fact he constantly gets asked about it and has to address those questions. You should know by now how the boxing scribes are (or any scribes for that matter). And yes, Porter was a good win, but he's had several good wins if you were actually following his career like we hardcore fans are. He's certainly no one-trick-pony like you're suggesting.

Porter wasn't just a good win, it was his 'best' win. And Porter's a tough out, clearly. The dude gives no ground.

Porter's and Spence's style couldn't be more different could they?

I'm expecting an incredible fight. I'm neutral either way, but I want to see if Brook is able to hold off this young gun, cause that's how this fight will play out. Spence is coming forward next weekend...

Well, let's get one thing straight.

Brook wasn't able to "stand" with Golovkin, because he got stopped and picked up a potentially career-ending broken orbital bone injury for his troubles.

Now had he gone the distance, I would have understood where he was coming from with that comment.

The paradox in all of this is that Brook making this statement shows that GGG's punches must have really done a number on his sanity.

That punch drunkenness is a mother****er.

"stand in there with GGG" is an interesting way to describe completing 4 whole rounds with GGG, having some moments and getting your face literally broken.

orbital bone injuries can be career enders, look at margarito now, rebroke it and his face is disfigured now.

When your last 3 defenses were against weak opposition...He saved Hearn and took in a career high payday... Brook's special treatment is going to be his downfall... His team makes it sound like he lost a close decision... 2 rounds and they celebrate that shyt... ??
Exactly, irrespective of this fight with Spence, Brook and his team need to stop bragging about getting badly beaten up!

So what that he managed to land a few shots on Golovkin! His punches were so non-effective that GGG wasn't even bothering with any semblence of a defence! Brook was a welterweight champ and a physically big one at that; he SHOULD have been able to be comp[etitive for at least a couple of rounds. He was barely even that IMO!!

That's if Spence is only a power puncher and nothing else. If he can box, which he's shown he can, then it's gonna be competitive.
