It's only hurting the promotion of the fight and their money so that's on them.
I agree, but the two arent very comparable, one is a small segment of momentary interjection into someone elses event and being asked simple questions no one cares about, and the other is their own air time, trading glares and sharing their opinions of one another to each others faces for around 10 minutes (how long are these things?) with a possibility of tempers boiling over.

its an insult to HBO...thats about it....a small insult at that....

now answer me this...what other portion of this promotion has he skipped out on? the pressers? showing up for an interview at chavez/canelo? none

and theres still an episode of 24/7 which has hbo cams around him for a little bit of time

he missed one portion....which like i said...isnt going to sway any would be buyers...casuals dont matter to this fight...those who are going to buy it already are...this segment was going to push any numbers over the top.....

if ward blows the 24/7 crew off and skips some other stuff you would have a gripe....till then its nothing unless you have an agenda

you have 4 kids? you ever blow something off on a sunday morning that you deem less important than your own schedule?

you biased losers with an agenda are easy to spot....this is the only thing hes missed

True, but that's why they have to keep it professional regardless of how they feel.

They can have animosity towards each other and still promote and be professional. Look at the faceoff for Cotto-Margarito for the rematch. That was a hot tempered faceoff but both guys didn't go over board.

In this situation their promoters, managers should be advising them for sure. And both guys as well need to have common sense in this situation too. But it seems like for as different as Kovalev and Ward are they are the same in that they both are going to do what they want. They both seem to have that kind of attitude, the idgaf attitude in which they do as they please. We'll see what happens and how this story continues to unfold.

how so? ward is the one who is mind ***ed with all his retirement talk and lashing out at reporters because they all agreed he lost to kovalev. kovalev has been his usual smiling and laughing self.

I'd argue they punch above their weight. When more serious boxing fans want to get their significant other, family, or friends to watch a fight they (or to justify the PPV price / bar bill): 1) explain it, 2) Show them the 'Face Off', 3) Maybe show them some best of clips and one of the stare downs, and finally if they're still around you maybe show them 4) 24-7 or some other sales documentary.

Ward doesn't want to have to sit there and see Kovalev tell him he beat him. He has wrapped himself up in the delusion that he won and won't have Max or anyone else question it.

Personally, I don't care because Kova doesn't really have the English language skills to hang in a face-off.
