Floyd won a close but clear fight. The rematch wasn't needed at all. Giving a guy a rematch you beat and would have beat again seems like a waste of time.

You shouldn't laugh. I've watched every single Mayweather jr fight since well before ODLH and I've never seen him struggle like he did in that Maidana fight. He underestimated his opponent and earned a draw at best imo.

Remember, the average fan doesn't score fights and wouldn't know how if you asked them to.

I watched the rematch with some casuals and some of them thought Maidana won.

Casuals will ALWAYS favor the one coming forward.

Factor in their hate for Mayweather and some probably even thought Canelo beat him.

Yeah Floyd didn't lose that fight.

He did, however, without a doubt, lose the first Castillo fight . Castillo actually landed at a higher percentage than him (power punches), and total power punches by a pretty good amount. It was pretty obvious he won the fight.

However, one of the reasons I give Floyd his props, is because he immediately rematched him, and that time won pretty convincing fight. Funnily enough, doe, the scores were actually closer in the rematch.
