Comments Thread For: Indongo Manager Eyes Crawford Unification, Hits Back at Lipinets

Julius Indongo's name has been in central position in boxing fraternity since April 15 when the IBF/IBO champion dethroned WBA junior welterweight titlist Ricky Burns in a unification bout with an impressive 12-round unanimous decision in Glasgow, Scotland.

    I don't get why a unification wouldn't ***** a mandatory in the IBF's case

Question for anyone? Or One Punch or behind the scene mfers?

How much control do you & your team have when you have given an option to a new promoter?

Is this simply a situation where Hearn could offer $1.5M for fighting one of his guys or $750k for fighting Crawford for example to steer the situation more his way regardless of the choice Indongo decides?

Or does Indongo & his team have limited ability in saying yes or no, regardless of opponent, money, belts or whatever having given Hearn an option on his next fight?

Or is this all on Indongo & his team & Hearn can yay or nay promoting or co-promoting the fight?

Questions & confusion aside I'm rooting for Crawford vs Indongo next time out.

This needs to be agreed with the IBF before a mandatory fight is called. The IBF usually accept unifications over a mandatory when requested, but state the mandatory MUST be fought straight after

Indongo needs to beat Lipinets to make that scalp more fat for Crawford

By the way, Lipinets wasn't talking ****, he's not that kind of person, his twitter is controlled by some English speaking guy who talks too ****ing much. Lipinets has to talk some sense into that guy

lipinets vs indongo is a better fight style wise.... The fighter always has the final say... In all situations. Eddie will do whatever indongo and his manager want...
