    Important admission there though.

Says he gassed out after about 5 rounds.

So, out of his own mouth he says he had little or nothing left from then on.

About the same time Ward was coming back.

Which in turn supports what the 3 judges saw.

    So much for the controversy.

Ward won and this basically proves why.

    Good job, Vadrigar.

hes prob going to try to conserve and fight hard in the last 6-7

its going to depend on ward...if kovalev is playing it close early and conserving what will ward do? will ward play it tight too and let rounds be close? will ward expect that kovalev is playing possum and waiting and play it tight? if kovalev is conserving himself ward needs to take advantage and build a lead......he cant play into that and let the first 5-6 be close

Lol, what a dumbass. He wasn't trolling, sounded like he was asking a serious question expecting a serious answer. That reporter probably doesn't know anything about boxing or Kovalev, he just knew he was Russian.

Kovalev gave the right answer by saying he's not in politics.

Unprofessional idiots like Elle Seckbach and Dontae have caused a trend, now literally anyone with a camera, microphone, and YouTube channel can claim to be a reporter.

The problem with that is there is a good chance Ward will act like it is round 13, trying to get close from the jump and getting to Kovalev's body since there is no way Sergei can improve his stamina THAT greatly in less than a year, especially with large parts of that time not spent training.

This plays into the narrative many see in the rematch, a more one-sided fight or even possible stoppage for Andre.

Sergei has to hurt him early just like the first time, then keep his foot on the gas til either Ward falls or the bell for the end of the 12th rings.

Sergei does that, he will win easily.

If not, Ward and it won't be close this time.

OK... You seem to be right... (but once a Russian, always a Russian, doe...)

Lol big Ward fan but he had to pull out nearly all the tricks out the book, borderline fouls at best to make sure he wouldn't get knocked out!

He didn't start fighting on the inside until the 6th round which coincidentally is the round b4 where Kov said his tank started dramatically dropping equals no bodyshots effected that!

Yes the bodyshots did help slow him down even further late but Kov was still boxing him and found ingenuity in stopping Ward from fouling him on the head which is why he headlocked him!

I like the prefight trash talk, this fight needs it to sell and I believe it's working!

... tbh: Ward just jumped forward as early as the 3rd round... OK, he didn't "annihilate" Kovalev, but Kovalev himself admitted (here above) that he gassed after the 5th...

                    (I had it a "draw"...)
