Why the hell should I care about another person's bank account? I'm a boxing fan I like to see good fights.

Then don't expect me to be a fan or support them. This is the hurt business ffs! If you're scared go to church. We need more quality competition if it's to be called a sport. If you want to be a hype job to make $ you're a shit stain on boxing. You should want to be the best you can be by testing yourself. Strive for greatness instead of mediocrity. It would be nice if people boycotted all hype jobs to force them to step up if they want the $.

No doubt with how boxing works you should fight the best paying gig in consideration with the risk of that guy (aka: juice worth the squeeze math in play) for as long as possible.

With how boxing SHOULD work fighters should be competing against as equal competition as possible at all levels of the sport (you know like athletes do in every other f#cking sport at the virtually every level) with the cream rising to the top & the rest being pushed down til they are out of the sport. And gradually the cream being pushed down as they start to decline as well. Unfortunately boxing is a clusterf#ck of a circus sport that is fueled by a bunch of mfers just looking to cash out once or twice a year on PPV revenue & are quite happy being a big fish in a small pond that is boxing vs power players or a whole entire new entity creating an elite league of boxers that provide high quality entertainment on a regular basis to fans dying to see top guys fighting top guys.

Some guys just don't have it in them. Are the Maidanas of the world going to get anywhere sticking to technical disciplines? Not likely. They have to rely on their assets.

I think the problem is when fans criticize technical/conservative fighters. If you just want visceral violence, there are better outlets than a regulated sport. If you want a wide palette of styles and strategies, then you must take the styles you don't like along with the ones you do. I don't particularly like onions, but they can be great when they're mixed with other ingredients.

It's a proven fact that all out action fighters are not the highest paid and do not generate the highest ratings or the highest amount of ppv buys. The blood and guts action fans are a niche group.

The numbers don't lie and the most important things that attract fans are

                    Winning and accomplishments
                    Celebrity status

That's it. If you win fights and you are a celebrity outside of the ring you will sell no matter what your fighting style is.
