For over two years, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) has been trying to chase down a domestic blockbuster against his career rival, Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs). At the start of 2016, the boxers were in serious discussions to face each other, but then Khan - in what was an unexpected shocker at the time - signed a contract to face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at a catch-weight of 155-pounds for the WBC middleweight title.

I applaud Khan for taking a stand and doing his best to remove the violence and aggression from boxing... WTF is he talking about?? This comes across soooo poorly. I never thought he was ducking Brook but after reading this, it leaves you with almost no way to defend him. "Too messy"?? Maybe we're missing some context here but this is really unusual.

A guy who doesnt want a messy slanging match before a fight but also chased a Floyd Mayweather fight for years.

Along with Ricky Hatton excuses of not fighting Junior Witter... I would put this up there.
