Yes, agreed, he is older; has not gone to that weight in quite some time; and it is no easy task. To be fair, I did not say it was going to easy!

I do think that if, by about 1 week before the weigh-in, Chavez is walking at within 10-12lbs of the weight, then he will make weight on the day. A big IF, I know and, as you rightly state, not easy!

In case Jr. is only after the money, he will come at 164.5 on the scales... In case he wants to have a chance to win the fight, Jr. should show up at 166-167 for the weigh-in...

Now why the **** would JR come in over the weight limit?? You do know he's gotta pay a million dollars per pound over the weight limit right?? If he loses he still has to pay that million dollars per pound. Think about it.... JR coming in overweight is not gonna guarantee him a victory.

He's not going to lose that much more weight, he's going to do a water cut to make weight, which he has experience at, so weight won't be an issue. The question with him has always been discipline.

Jr only seven pounds under the contract wait a month before the fight I doubt it I can't see him holding that wait for a month he'll get to drained...

That last 7.5 pounds will be easy to get down to in a month. Whatever weight is left on him will easily be drained off with a dry-out. He's right on schedule where he needs to be. I think so long as he hasn't over-trained, this will be a much more competitive fight then most fans suspect. Otherwise he'll gas out and be done by round 8 or 9. Hopefully he is 100% mental/physical for this fight.

Can't you comprehend what's in writing????? All you idiots who keep saying JR should come in overweight so that he can beat Canelo's ass.... Coming overweight is NOT gonna guarantee him a win!
Say he comes in 4-5 pounds overweight( I've read where some of you idiots keep saying he should come in at 170) and he still loses then that means he goes home with a Loss, without bragging rights, without money cause he basically gave up his whole paycheck paying back the million dollar per pound penalty, and he got his ass kicked by Canelo... Now ****ing think about it before you respond! I really don't think coming in overweight will help him that much. Canelo is just too fast and too slick for him. I know what the record says but Chavez did lose to Reyes and Vera in their first fight. So if he's losing to C-level opponents when he came in weighting 172 then Canelo will tap his ass at any weigh. That simple!
