People give hbo sht but english commentators are by far the worst. I have to go looking for a hbo copy soon after the fight so I can watch it without being driven mad with full blown ******ed and biased talk.

Nelson is fine imo, not sure what people's issue is with him. But Froch and Bellew are a complete joke, everything they say seems like its either to get attention or trying to make themselves seem more humble than they really are.
You think Nelson is fine but take issue with Watt...Lol

Johnny Nelson is an absolute joke of a pundit, Froch is up his own arse and Adam Smith is clearly reading off a script. Malignaggi is the only sensible one, providing informative commentary and is usually the most neutral one.
Jim Watt was horrid to listen to, sounded the most miserable in the world

I know they have a product to sell, and trying to sell fighters and fights to the public but they go way beyond that to the point it's just pure lies and deceitful. It's almost like it's become more accepted to do that now. People have gotten used to the mainstream news just making up whatever they want at times, and now that's filtering into sports broadcasting and other things.
that's unfortunately the way of the world nowadays in every aspect of life nearly. so much is illusion and people are easily and willingly convinced.

i personally like kellerman, i think he's one of the few that knows something and actually has his own thoughts

bernstein, malignaggi too and can't think of anyone else of the top of the head

Sky have always been like that. I remember after the Kovalev/Ward fight, there was a lot of talk of 'listen to the Sky guys, they know their stuff'. It kind of left me scratching my head as Sky are amongst the worse out there. They have a bias for UK and American fighters. (Obviously UK first however).
And every foreign fighter who comes over to fight a Brit is 'world class', even if they clearly aren't.

Boxnation is better, but its more for boxing heads. No fanfare. Looks cheap etc. You kind of have to go out of your way to view it, they don't pamper or try to kid viewers. While Sky are there to sell a product.

I can understand them being bias, so are HBO and Showtime. If they can influence viewers who don't really know better, then they will.

The Bellew /Haye fight is good one to bring up to be fair. Bellew is their guy, so they are going to push him. But the way they called that fight, as if Bellew had dominated and beat up a prime Haye (and not been at sorts until a bad injury changed everything) was cringeworthy to watch.

If we lived in a perfect world then Steve Holdsworth would commentate on every single fight.

I don't think paulie and froch are that biased in my opinion they have said a few times a home fighters struggling with certain things ect

Agree about the fans in the arena though most are there to get drunk i know a few people who go to these hearn cards and they are the type that think mcgregor will smash floyd and joshua is a mike tyson and ali hybrid and dont realize how tough the spence brook fight will be just textbook casuals
