Boxing already has a bad reputation for a variety of reasons, Angel just adds more weight to the argument that boxing is a joke that is not to be taken seriously. The fighters who put their lives on the line deserve better than that. People like Angel Garcia only do a disservice to the sport and validate the belief of critics of boxing who think it is unethical, classless and undignified.

I think this is Danny and his daddy looking for an out. Garcia isn't a great PR fighter, he's no tito and no Cotto, not even close. Danny has managed to be golovkins brother in top cherry pickers. Now, Danny will have to face a top fighter that he can't repeatedly low blow to win. Thurman showed class. No one seems to know where to draw the line with the trash talk. Ali managed to be one of the best "love to hate" fighters because it sold tickets. No matter what, imo what angel coke head said crossed the line. I think even Floyd senior and Ruben Guerrero have more class...and that's saying A LOT.

Angel is a moron and his rant was ignorant and disgusting. But, as much as I hate racism, its not the NYSAC's job to police the ignorance of trainers.

This is on the Promoter & the media. Hardline stand would be the Promoter saying no Angel in the corner, but I doubt they would do that, as DSG would probably refuse to fight.

But the promoter should refuse to have Angel at any future press conferences - he has shown that he cant be trusted. The press conferences represent the promoter's product, and the promoter has a right to refuse to feature Angel's ignorance.

Additionally, the media should never stick a microphone in front of Angel. He will speak ignorance, so DO NOT GIVE HIM A FORUM.

Angel may have a right to be speak his ignorant racism, but we all have the responsibility to NOT GIVE HIM A FORUM. Ignore him, his words are useless anyways. So he can just be like the crazy homeless I see on the street, spewing nonsense, but everyone just ignores them.

There should be penalties in place for this kind of behavior otherwise you'll have complete chaos when fighters find out they can say whatever and nothing will be done about it. However I don't think they should cancel the fight over it, let them fight it out in the ring and let the best man win!!! I'm sorry but i have to see this fight go down regardless of what was said. Find some type of punishment for Angel Garcia but the show must go on lol
