The offer means nothing if it's not for the next fight. Canelo/Chavez II will be a higher priority regardless of what Golovkin does.
I'd rather see Golovkin fight Jacobs (March), Saunders (June), and Charlo (September), Khurtsidze or Eubank (December) and let the Canelo fight build to next May.Comment

I loved De La Hoya as a great fighter he was, but yeah, he has promoter's hat on now, n no I don't think they are offering a fair amount to GGG. Oscar doesn't want his cash cow losing now to Golovkin, and the stock would then go down quite badly. Not saying Canelo doesn't have a chance, but that I don't think his promoter wants that hugely risky fight.Comment
