You should make a thread on a list of excuses and post videos why Brook don't want Spence.

Against Spence and I'm talking about real boxing fans here it's being discussed as a difficult pick possibly a true 50/50 of a match up. Are you that much of a blow hard you blow so hard you don't wanna see Brook in competitive action ? Dude beat Porter over two years ago in really his last significant win, would Khan be considered a significant win ? Spence is bowling over guys a la GGG style, you beat him you've really given your fans like you something to shout about.
Brook beats Khan no one gives a damn here, he beats Spence he's really commanded respect. What do you care more about, Brook's bank balance or his boxing status ?

They may take different paths to achieve that, some might grind it out, some may strike while the iron is hot, some may milk a belt and make good, but unspectacular pay days and then eventually take a risk, etc. etc. etc.
There are many scenarios - but the goal for most (not all) is to get there. For Kell - he can achieve it in one night against Khan, so in the grand scheme of things, he needs it much more! Khan has already attained financial security, I don't think Kell is in a position where if he retired tomorrow he could honestly say I don't need to work again, and quite frankly most of these guys don't know how to do anything else so that is a sobering thought.
I think the Khan fight gives him that, and its the shortest and most obvious route to his retirement fund. Win, lose, or draw, that fight is check mate for Kell. After that I am sure you would see Kell fight to see how good he is, by that I mean challenge himself and see where he gets to, I think he is that kind of character - the Golovkin fight is an example (although he was compensated). Fighters with that attitude, unless they takes a bad loss and need a rebuilding period, they will often seek big challenges. When Khan has had momentum in his career he has pushed himself, there is no denying that. But momentum is the key word, because if you take too many L's then in this day and age your stock can tumble really quickly, so it can be a fine balancing act.
Obviously the talent of the fighter will dictate how much risk can be taken, and what they can likely achieve competitive wise and financially as well. The worst scenario for fans is when a fighter can make big pay days and fight fighters who are not on his level, and that happens sometimes, but even a fighter in that position eventually will come across a scenario where he can carry on making $1-2 million pay days in 5 fights, 5 training camps, or he can take a risk and make it one fight, normally that scenario eventually presents itself or the pay days start dwindling.
This is a big part of the boxing side of business which hardcore fans should really be aware of. If you ask any promoter or fighter behind closed doors - they will say in their own words what I have just told you, and in fact they have to me.
But when you see interviews like this - what do you want the guy to say? He's not going to give you the truth is he, boxing doesn't work like that.
The part I agree with you on is the fight NEEDS to happen for the fans and for boxing, specifically British Boxing. But all this stuff its not important, its posturing and I think if some of you guys had a better grasp of the business side you would get less frustrated in general.

- Brook needs to leave Eddie Hearn
- Brook needs to beat a name (before Shawn Porter)
- Brook needs to fight an even bigger name (before Golovkin)
- Winner takes all (Brook said fine)
- Brook needs to take 30%
- Brook doesn't really want it (lol)
- Brook needs to beat Errol Spence
Today, in yet another excuse riddled video as to why he won't fight Brook, he gives more excuses:
FYI, some interesting facts:
- Khan hasn't been a world champion since 2012 (despite losing his titles in 2011)
- Been knocked out badly 3 times
- Hasn't beaten a guy with a single win at welterweight since 2014
- Hasn't been on PPV in the UK since 2011 (Primtime vs Zab Judah when Sky dropped him)
- Hasn't sold out an arena in the UK since 2011
- Ended his last fight sleeping on the floor like a baby
How can anyone perceive a 70% request as anything other than a duck?
Hearn himself admitted (this was before teh GGG fight) that Brook should have one more fight, against a name opponent before fighting Khan.
You claim Khan was dropped by Sky is again not telling the full story, as the undercard was the issue with big names, including Fury, pulling out.
The 2014 remark and not beating a welter wit ha win, again, doesn't tell the story. He has fought twice since then, beating ALgieri a champ at 140 who moved up for the fight and then khan himself moving up to middleweight. He fought world champions in both fight. Brook has only fought 2 champions...ever.
I dunno about what arenas he has or hasnt sold out, as genuine figures are almost impossible to come by at times.
Other than that, outside of your personal hate for Khan (no idea where that stems from) I agree that both these middleweight losers need to stfu, Hearn needs to get a 60-40 style deal for Brook and put the fight on. If it doesnt happen this year, both men are cowards in my eyes.

Amir Khan is a greedy coont. He knows he'll get embarrassed and written off as a serious proposition with this fight, so he's demanding 70%. This fight easily sells out a 60,000 arena and Amir Khan makes probably his biggest payday off it. He can then jet off back to America where he'll be able to make another £5-10m against other name fighters before retiring.
