This is the problem with boxing media, they're all pretty bad and it's hurting the sport. By comparison, MMA media just wrecks boxing.

That's a great point. There is nothing in boxing like Helwani or the MMA Hour or that entire channel. I guess part of it is that Helwani got a degree in journalism, which doesn't guarantee anything, but increases the possibility that the guy will understand the importance of balance, sourcing, independence etc.

I would be surprised if Elie and Dontae can't read at a 5th grade level. Seckbach is an ass-kissing moron who knows almost nothing about the sport despite covering it for almost 10 years. But Dontae is even worse because of insane level of bias he brings to every story.

There are lots of guys like him on YouTube, ThaBoxingvoice isn't much better for example. But I guess people remember him because he is on that trashy tabloid level and is as example of so much that's wrong with boxing coverage in general. Even to the point of using half-naked women to get views.

They had money to support them through college, and get on their feet starting their channels, etc.

I'm a fan of Dontae's channel like I am of a lot of the boxing channels on youtube regardless if I agree or disagree with their opinions or not I love to hear ALL SIDES!
