Isn't it weird that Badou Jack is going to LHW?

in a way it is a bit strange but looking at the 2 in the ring, jack certainly looked like a LHW compared to degale...

There was talk of it beforehand. If he's really struggling to make the weight then those other factors might not matter to him.

Let jack move up do his thing
        Degale can rematch groves
Then maybe move to light-heavy and pursue the rematch with even more fan interest
        Presuming both keep winning

There should be no excuse for this rematch. But let him go up to 175, get destroyed and then come back, hat in hand for the DeGale rematch.

Reality is, DeGale will make more money in a Groves rematch anyway.

You weren't in camp with him and you didn't know what he had to go through to make the weight. The fact that he feels robbed and still doesn't want a rematch with the belts on the line means he was already done with 168 before the fight started.

              Did I claim i was?

Where did I say I didn't think he had a hard time making '68?

The point is not whether it's hard to make it, it's hard for all these guys. But if he can be that strong and fit for 12 rounds at the very best level, obviously he's not dying to make '68.

Regardless, I just find it interesting since he's clearly very big and strong at the weight.

No it's smart. If it's hard to make the weight don't wait until it starts affecting his performances and health.

I think he should think of the rematch though.
                    catchweight it then.

At 33 years old at 6'1" and most of his earlier fights at 170+ making 68 must be a grind. Fighters HATE making a tough weight! HATE it!
It takes away from preparation and they worry about re hydration
                      and fading late in fights.
For example if your best sparring is at 185 you can't take the extra effort to get to 168! Getting to 175 isn't a stretch if your in shape to box at 185.
Seven to ten pounds is ideal re hydration gaining anything more than that is not good for health.
Some men can get away with it and others can't, the older you get the more difficult it becomes.
