Should G have taken the 15 mil? Oh **** yea! Major blunder IMO. No way I can defend or understand why they didn't take it. You pull in 15mil in one fight and, oh by the way, if you win, you're the new king of boxing. It smells to me.
As I've said before though, Trip has no time anymore really. It has to be big names from here on out. And if he can do 4-5 mil like he did against Brook in each fight, then maybe this is enough for him to not play into the Canelo drama...

Fine, but for supporting him, that makes you a certified d*ck rider.

Plain and simple and if you can't see that then you sir are an idiot and a straight hater

Putting personalities aside, let's look at this objectively. Golovkin has a $15 million offer on the table, much more money than he has ever made and at 35 years of age more than he will ever earn fighting anyone else. There is a small risk that he will lose to Canelo. If the fight is close look for a rematch at 50/50 split. If he blows Canelo out, he gets two or three more money fights with other boxers, but at a lot less than $15 million. The risk is much greater for Canelo. He now brings serious money to the table. If he gets blown out, he becomes the "last" great thing -- another Mexican fighter, but no longer a superstar and no longer a PPV star.
If you were Golovkin what would you do?
