Re-Score Cuadras Vs. Rungvisai (Roman Gonzalez next opponent)

So out of request and some people telling me Srisaket Sor Rungvisai arguably beat Cuadras and that he is a good fighter I want to score this fight this is my first time watching it, anyone else want to join in on it.

Perhaps watching this fight will change peoples minds on the Thai fighter who from what I've seen look very capable and entertaining.

I'm 5 rounds in scored, one point of the fight I wont mention when the referee deducts a point off of Rungvisai but I've not counted that deduction because I believe it was improper abuse of power favouring the hometown fighter the damage was not caused via headbutt.

5 rounds in and I've got it
    48-47 in favour of Rungvisai

I take back what I said about the headbutt but stand by not taking the point off of Rung, it was quite obviously an accidental headbutt.

Cuadras was running like a coward from this guy and it is my belief that Rungvisai was outboxing Cuadras and with the Mexicans now stopping the fight at the very start of round 8 and going to scorecards....

My first 7 rounds go as follow
    Cuadras with Rounds 1, 2 and 6
    Rungvisai with Rounds 3, 4, 5 and 7

The fight should have been scored a draw with the point deduction tallied in (shouldn't be point deduction anyway)

No wonder Cuadras didn't chase this guy up for a rematch!

Mexican_Puppet PM me his scorecard it reads as follows :

      Round 1. Cuadras
      Round 2. 'El Príncipe'
      Round 3. Viva Jalisco!
Round 4. The Thai is cheater!
Round 5. I go to kitchen for Cerveza Tecate - but I think Cuadras won.
Round 6. Throw up mi tacos watching Cuadras back acne!
      Round 7. Masterclass!
Round 8. 10-8 round point deducted for blatant headbutt.

Real talk though that acne was fxcking hideous It was a blessing that the highest quality of video I could find was only in 480p any higher and I would have probably spewed.

No way could he have scored round 7 for Cuadras.

Rungvasi was winning the fight and he brought it to The Mexican Prince of Back Pimples!

Cuadras is a very solid fighter but all he does is go on the backfoot and wait for you to throw and counter, Choco should've by round 5 got grimy to get him to come to him! One of the best at laterally moving in the ring as well!

Choco will have his hands full with Rungvasi but i predict a close decision win in a war and from then on is where i believe Choco will get his first loss due to the amount of punishment he takes and the fact he's fighting bigger guys with that kind of overly aggressive style!

This is why he's Pound for Pound numero uno!!!! Much respect for the Nicaraguan Nightmare! Future HOF no doubt!

              Lol!

I gotta say I find it funny how Mexicans say they like to see Mexicans fight the Mexican way but Cuadras was back pedaling from round 1 to the finish yet no boos from the crowd no shock or rage about Cuadras just basically giving up

That body shot from the gif you showed he did a mini marathon to avoid that Asian dude that pretty much summed this fight up

Cuadras really isn't that good. Roman is just a lot more limited than people make him out to be. I thought Roman would steamroll Cuadras, but Roman does as his overrated ass does. Now he owes 2 people rematches. Better hope this one isn't another close one or this guy about to have more asterisks on his record than belts.

Everything was against Sor Rungvisai even the WBC rules in their policy of accidental cut/injury in accidental head-clashes : Jay Nady ( the ref ) was forced to take a point from Rungvisai at the start of the fifth round...note that mentally had an affect in his performance to get that surprise coming out of his corner.

Accidental Injuries from Head Butts, Elbows, or other Accidental or Illegal Actions (injury). The following description applies to injuries from not only
head butts and elbows, but from any other accidental or illegal action as well.

                  a)
Unintentional/accidental injury. When a boxer suffers a cut, abrasion, or excessive swelling due to an unintentional/accidental head butt, elbow, etc.

                  If the bout continues:
                  • A point will be deducted from the uninjured boxer. This point deduction will compensate the advantages acquired by the uninjured boxer.

A ****** rule if you ask me : penalizing the Thai and automatically influencing the scoring with this rule that favors the boxer with the injury; But did they take a point from Cuadras when headbutts caused swelling around Chocolatitos eyes? NO!

I was saying to Doug on Twitter that they would never have took a point off of Cuadras If It was him that left the accidental head-clash unscathed still sort of believe that.
Rules of boxing rarely are followed like they should be I just had the gut feeling that it was a case of hometown influences doing whatever they could do to help acne back to win.

Even with the pt deduction it should still have been a draw imo, Cuadras was doing nice things off the backfoot here and there but even the rounds I gave him he still was getting tagged big in return.
