Well JCC's comment about Martinez is a bit unfair. If Lomachenko had fought another Martinez level opponent instead of Walters he wouldn't have gotten as much FOTY recognition. Walters is a more impressive opponent than Martinez and Lomachenko boxed circles around him.

FIRST THOUGHT - wtf are you on about Golovkin had a terrible year! How on earth is he foty with those pathetic wins?

SECOND THOUGHT - he did BEAT conela. If someone is a blatant duck (not a mw but now fighting chavez at 165), that should be recognized by the fans as a win!!

With that in consideration, he didn't have a bad year at all...Still not foty though.
