Ward doesn't have to prove a damn thing, he already won fool.. took him to the deep waters.

      ...rematch is easier work.

There should be a rematch. Ward needs to show some balls now.

Calm down Kov! You'll get a rematch, but Ward is trying to get more money! I believe Ward's deal with HBO is over, so I think he's posturing (talking retirement) to get more than just a rematch with Kovalev! It would be ironic if Ward signed with Showtime, and the rematch was called off because Kovalev can't fight on Showtime! That would suit me just fine because I want to see Ward face Stevenson and Beterbiev @ 175 before he retires!

Why are people comparing Kovalev with Khan? The rematch needs to happen and whoever puts obstacles to not make it happen deserves criticism.

The fight was close enough where we don't really know who'll win the rematch. It is completely justified to perceive the boxer trying to avoid the rematch as insecure about his ability to win it.

I can't tell if the cat is serious or not. Is 5 mil enough for Andre to walk away? There's nothing for him to prove, but like you I'd like to see him at least face Stevenson, which of course won't, or at least doesn't deserve to be, a PPV fight. Is the Kov rematch PPV worthy?

Point being, he's got enough bank to call it a day, but there's still scraps left on the table. Scraps, as in, less than Ward/Kov 1 and probably the rematch. I wouldn't be shocked to see him follow though and retire.

Or go all in, create the biggest buzz he could, and try heavy! (Like he's implied)
