Comments Thread For: Crawford: Fighter of the Year' Sounds About Right to Me

The 29-year-old Crawford went 3-0 this year, including a dominant unanimous-decision victory over previously unbeaten Ukrainian Viktor Postol (28-1, 12 KOs) in their 12-round, 140-pound championship unification fight July 23 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Crawford (30-0, 21 KOs) won his two other fights in 2016 by technical knockout.

Nope, I like Bud but he didn't do himself any favors in the stinky Postol fight or how he chose to fight him.

      Not a chance

Fan of Crawford but you don't deserve FOTY by beating 2 fringe contenders and Postol who was #2 who got that position by being in a absolute sh.it division.

It's Frampton maybe Ward or Pac should be in the conversation but Crawford shouldn't be in the mix

I've noticed a trend with Keith Idec specifically trying to propagandize and over-hype American fighters. Since when did beating three B-grade or less fighters win you fighter of the year? If that's the case then at least pick the guy who upset and dispatched of B-fighters with highlight reel knockouts, Joe Smith Jr.

Otherwise, if you're picking between guys who actually beat quality names, it's between Frampton, Lomachenko, and Kovalev if you ignore corrupt judging. Otherwise, just Frampton and Lomachenko.

Frampton is my fighter of the year. Or Ward. That Sullivan win looks even better now.

The Postol win was big and he cemented himself as the man at 140 pounds.

However the Lundy and Molina fights were typical Top Rank showcase fights against overmatched opponents.

Frampton deserves it more. Or even Joe Smith Jr for coming out of nowhere and getting two stoppages against top competition.

Stunk up the joint three times this year. One fight of the three was a good win at least.

Leo sta Cruz was robbed in his fight with framptpn. Watched that fight again. The mexicans in this forum are'nt whiners and cry babies. Leo outlanded him 255 to 242. I gave Leo 7 to 5 round vs. Frampton
