why, we all know he's easily gonna win maybe in the first round, if Mora dropped him in the first I'm pretty sure Golovkin can to

          hell, no.

its a good win, his best to date. but his resume is still not impressive enough to warrant a number one spot.

lomachenko, kovalev, ward, rigo, gonzales, canelo and crawford are all still ahead of him as far as im concerned.

you could make a good case he is ahead of crawford, maybe canelo too. but the rest, i really dont see how.

there are other guys you could have ahead of him as well. the winner of degale-jack, stevenson, pacquiao, the winner of thurman-garcia. hell, you could have garcia ahead of him already. if he beats thurman he would be ahead for sure.

to put ggg at number one p4p by beating jacobs is sheer insanity. he hasnt beaten a single fighter in the top 30 p4p.

edit: forgot the WW, lol. he hasnt beaten anyone in the top 30 p4p who isnt half his size.

No lomachenko is the p4p guy right now, Jacobs is a solid opp but he ain't putting ggg over the top he needs nela.

if ggg kos jacobs then my top 5 will be:

                1. lomachenko
                2. kovalev
                3. ggg
                4. pacquiao
                5. gonzalez

Well he got to #2 on some lists by beating the likes of Murray and Lemieux. If he beats Jacobs, he'll likely be the GOAT.

You have to take in to account losses as well. p4P isn't all about resume. You can give points to lomo for beating russell and walters but at the same time minus a point for losing to a journeyman like salido who has 9 losses. GGG has barely lost rounds in the last 23 fights. No fighter has been as dominant as ggg. You can cry opposition all you want but he makes them look like trash.

There's plenty of fighters in the p4p who haven't beaten p4p fighters. Gonzalez is an example and so is lomochenko.
