You only have to listen to American trainers talk about S&C coaches to see that most of them don't understand it. Doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad boxing coaches but its easy to see where Kovalev is coming from in his criticism. Training every fighter like they are the same athlete and believing that volume = quality.

High altitude is the best possible training for a fighter's stamina.
Think of all the high altitude fighters. They never gas.
GGG. Oscar. Everyone from Greg Jackson's training camp. Diego Sanchez. Holly holm. Jon Jones. Carlos Condit. Donald Cerrone. if it's one thing high altitude fighters are known for it's their stamina.
if he wants to make his career a priority. he needs to move there like GGG did. lol
going there and catching a cold is his own dedication problem.

If Kovalev wants to move on with his career without JDJ. I have a feeling JDJ will go online and blast Kovalev. They don't seem to have a great relationship at all. I see an ugly split in the near future where everything turns into a war of words.

However, I don't agree that Kovalev got nothing from JDJ. He clearly looks an improved fighter in some aspects since they've been together. The Hopkins performance in particular was a masterclass and I think JDJ played a big role in that. But the fact that Kovalev is even having these thoughts means they need to split. The trust is clearly gone
Having someone who speaks his language and who is on the same page culturally in his corner will probably do him some good

Thanks for this one Rumack..
yeah that must be an end to the JDJ relationship. Which I think is a correct decision too.
