Alvarez-Chavez Jr isn't ever going to happen, imo; fight fit, Chavez Jr is easily 15lbs heavier than Alvarez.

The one caveat, though, is that Chavez Jr is done physically growing; if he keeps on top of his discipline, getting down to 168lb will likely be hell for the next 1-2 years that he's still able to do it, but he should be able to comfortably fight 175lbs for as long as he wants to fight.

Saul Alvarez isn't the tallest guy in the world, but his frame is such that he likely tops out, 5 years from now, as a 168lb fighter in the mold of Arthur Abraham.

Chavez Jr vs Alvarez, @171/172lbs could work down the line.
it's a huge money fight, and Chaves already said he's willing to come down to 164, maybe they'll get a deal for 160 since Canelo is the lineal champ

he already said he's willing to come down to 164, maybe they'll convince him to go more if he gets offered 40%

Its got to come from somewhere its not this throw away item he has nothing more to give up , at 160 he would probably pass out at the weighin , I dont think his body today would allow him to make 160 , be worse than Oscar vs Manny .

Where the haters at now lol?!? The same losers who jump out of their caves when he is fat to make fun of him. Look at him now doe. Funny how those threads have hundreds of pages when it's time to put someone down, but when there is nothing negative to say about someone, these threads stay empty. WAR JR!!!! WITH YOU A 100%!!!

Doesn't look too bad at this weigh-in at all, I'm sort of hopeful for him would be nice to see him make a serious return to boxing with the dedication he showed in spurts in the earlier half of his career at middleweight.
Chavez Jr is the last guy to face a prime Sergio Martinez I just hope he doesn't let us all down on fight night I want to see the determination he showed in the last few rounds against Martinez, give us a war and prove the haters wrong.

According to Don Eduardo Lamazon, Canelo and Chavez Jr. have been in close touch to negotiate a fight @164

Canelo ain't never gonna fight higher than 168 guaranteed.

Sad when you have to congratulate a boxer for making weight, isn't it?
