If you're going to say gg can make up 700k for Canelo than GG should at least do 300k and above by himself, right?

The other thing to note is the Kovalev Ward PPV was for the good of the sport, one of the best matches that could have been made. No one was really bragging about either fighter's star potential, we just hoped it did well so it could at least prove that fans will pony up if the best fight the best.
The Golovkin Lemieux PPV was all about GGG's star potential, it wasn't a great matchup. It was supposed to prove he could go some way to filling the void left by Pacs diminishing numbers. I didn't think it would do too bad cause I thought the casuals would eat up the whole "2 big punching champs going at it" but they didn't. Remember Barchams final meltdown over the numbers?? ..... remember onepunch saying he didn't trust the 150k originally reported by Floydhype while insisting on waiting for the eventual 97k reported by Rick "you've been Glased" Glaser. I think the Golovkin fans were more invested and boastful about PPV numbers hence the ridicule.
That's how I see it, although in hindsight 150k against Lemieux isn't so bad in what myself and many perceived as a blatant mismatch. If he can do 150k against Jacobs that would be good in my opinion.
That model doesnt work anymore......

The PPV model needs to change, they need to drop the prices to at least $50 for a start.

Oscar offering a flat rate of 10M is a joke and proof they're ducking. Mayweather offered a flat rate of 40M to Manny who intelligently turned it down. He eventually made over 100M by pushing for a percentage. So....GGG will be a big part of the draw if the fight ever takes place. He deserves a percentage.
I agree (takes 2 to tango), from what i've read and heard, it's Oscar who didn't want the lara fight and now he's in charge, doesn't want the GG fight. It's still Conela who has the final word though so he can't avoid all blame.
I think it's classic when people on NSB try to blame team GG when it comes to GG-Conela.
Golovkin wanted his chance to fight for the title and was patient to let cotto pay to avoid him. They then let Conela 'grow' into 160 by taking on Kahn (got shafted there, bit rude on golden boys part). Finally, no more crap, it's their turn, will to take 25% or whatever the going rate is.
Once Conela gives GG his belt (and shamefully embarrasses himself), they have far fewer bargaining chips. GG has all he wanted - the belt! A payday from Conela is a bonus.
I will guarantee Conela fights and takes Saunders belt, in order to increase his bargaining chips once again.
Golden boy have ****ed team GG around a lot! Now there is talk of Conela staying at 154! Glad Tom loeffler is a p*ssy and still talks to them. I'd tell 'em to get ****ed.

Im stunned..............
Golovkin-Lemieux was, in essence, "the Golovkin show", and the money, after the commitment of 9 HBO fight dates, didn't really show up.
Unless I've misheard things, Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev are supposedly both non-draws, while Golovkin has the standing to balk at a $10m+ offer from Saul Alvarez, yet Kovalev and Ward, together, delivered a fight that likely did double the business that Golovkin-Lemieux actually ended up doing.

LUCKILY, although GG's resume is lacking a big name, he has fought enough solid, top ten ranked fighters to tell he is the goods. This is why the majority of ppl have him top 10 p4p, without beating a single elite fighter.
You and I both know Isaac, just because your the most popular boxer, it doesn't make you the best boxer!
