The WBC is gaining back a little bit of its credibility after the Mayweather disaster and all the Canelo favoritism.

Kovalev-Ward was a joke. I was open to becoming a Ward fan after he proved me wrong taking this fight, but the way he fouled all night, and the corruption, and his gloating over the corruption rather than apologizing for it, has made me very resistant to ever supporting for him. At this point I will lose all respect for Ward if he doesn't rematch Kovalev by March. Even then, the fight wasn't close enough to really warrant a rematch. Ward showed he wasn't in Kovalev's class in terms of boxing, and the only way he could make rounds close enough for his corrupt judges to steal for him was by using UFC tactics.

It was a shameful night for boxing and I'm glad at least a few people are speaking out about it. The only way Ward can win respect back is with an immediate rematch where he doesn't foul anymore, but he's done that his whole career and doesn't seem to have much else in his skill set besides fouls and a wonderful jab/hook, but that's it and he barely used it against Kovalev because Kovalev outboxed him so clearly. So at this point I am done with Ward and just hope he loses even more clearly next time so that HBO will stop showing his fights and boxing can turn its attention to more talented, exciting fighters who don't need to cheat to even be competitive at the top level.

I love boxers personally. Rigondeaux, Lomachaneko, this is true boxing. Angles, speed, power, zero holding, zero fouling, no home cooking. Just pure ability. Fighters like Ward? He is everything that is wrong with boxing now. As long as the American boxing establishment continues to put all its money and corruption behind fighters like Ward, boxing will continue its sharp, sharp decline. But they think Ward will make a superfight with GGG and they want the money, so they robbed Kovalev.

Knew you guys would love that one.

It's true though. Whether you think the Illuminati is some satanic cult, or just a conglomeration of business interests that look out for themselves, who do you think is more connected? Jay Z and Roc Nation, which has documentaries on HBO and campaigns with the President, or Kathy Duva with her one random Russian champion that even Russia's establishment rejected, who has zero other connections?

That's just basic logic so if you can't at least agree with that, maybe you're just a Ward fanboy.

It's all good though man. Ward won, Bradley kicked Pacquiao's ass, and Thomas Hearns is a bum who clearly lost the second fight to Sugar Ray! And Marvin Hagler is such a bum, Roberto Duran moved up in weight and still came within 1 round of beating or drawing him!

Right? Because judges always get it right man! And Danny Garcia dominated Mauricio Herrera. Lol.

By the way bro check out the link in my sig at 5:24 and tell me what you honestly think. Does that look like a neutral referee lol?

Robert byrd the fat lazy ref let kkkovalev hold and head lock ward 55 times in 12 rounds... That is a disgrace..... Dirty kkkovalev came to hug and head lock all night.... Ward must demand kenny bayless for the rematch so he can control the dirty cry baby russian....

While I agree that the the judging was biased and favored Ward, its an issue the WBC should have addressed BEFORE the fight. Not after.

Supposed to say "business interests" not boxing interests. I edited it.

Stevenson has the WBC belt (somehow) so not sure the WBC was really involved in this one.

Lol. Idiot. Ward rushed in with his head, initiating every foul. Kovalev just defended himself. Ward's head has already ruined careers like Kessler's. Kovalev had no choice but to put his arm over Ward's head otherwise Ward could raise his head into Kovalev's face.

We all know Ward has always been the dirty fighter. Not Kovalev. But keep making excuses for your hero Andre Ward. If my favorite fighter got schooled despite having the ref in his pocket, I'd be making excuses too. At least, if I was a fan boy who couldn't face reality, like you.

But all of that may not even be what matters. What really matters is money and GGG-Kovalev, a fight between two Eastern Euros, may not sell in the U.S. But GGG-Ward at 168 if Ward "beats" Kovalev and GGG beats Canelo is a superfight.

So they could let Kovalev win, and keep grossing 5 million in pay-per-view sales, or they could rob it for Ward, and make 200 million on a superfight. Which do you think they wanted more lol?
