he was landing clean to the body, although piskunov was avoiding every head shot and landing nice jabs and right straights

he's more deserving of the win than ward was on saturday

btw, if you've been watching this whole tourney can you recommend any particular fights or fighters to watch in session 13 B? i can't watch the whole thing

That's all he was doing and it wasn't like he was landing a lot of body shots.
Piskunov controlled everything else. He basically pushed him where ever he wanted when he wanted.
Marc Castro is a complete **** fighter so **** him. Worse than Shawn Porter. He does nothing good.
How the hell are you supposed to get a decision over this guy. I've seen people outbox him on the back foot before (at Nationals and International tournaments) and now Piskunov pushed him back and that still doesn't work.

I'm not even going to bother watching the rest of the tournament. So I must apologize.

awesome head movement and range control from this kazakh as he presses the freakishly tall kyrgyzstani. landing big shots too. really nice stuff

          sadriddin akhmedov. one to watch

scores four standing 8-counts. seems to have a bit of golovkin in him, not a fancy dan like yeleussinov or alimkhanuly

now it's england v hungary, the last bout of session 13 A

english guy looks very athletic and scores a standing 8-count in round 1, with his opponent looking pretty badly hurt

in round two he's having trouble setting up clean shots and doesn't seem to have great ring IQ, although he's still winning easily

comfortable 3-0 win for mohammed harris akbar and he looks decent but i don't fancy his chances against the aforementioned kazakh, whom i think he will face in the semis

Seriously **** Marc Castro. Bum doesn't deserve to be called World Champion. He could hardly fight.

AIBA better overturn that ****ty decision.

NIKITA PISKUNOV IS THE REAL WINNER!!

Funny thing about this tournament: I should have been there.
I was hyped to my first international tournament and i was expecting to keep the forum informated about was going on, but at the last minute i missed the chance, still, two friends were going to the tournament, but there were some troubles with the passport of the coach, so they came back.
Regarding the tournament itself, i haven't seen the fights becuase i moved this week, but when i connect my pc i will download the fights. I heard that the USA squad is really strong, that fighter call Nikita Abiybi i believe, i've seen him before, he had some good fights with John Bauza, one of my favorites prospects.
That guy, Marc Castro, is probably the most hyped boxer in the tournament, it's obvious that they are hyping him for tokyo 2020.
