Hunter is not saying that Kovalev wanted to quit

Hunter is saying that Kovalev wanted to fight to his gameplan ONLY..... which isn't a bad thing.

I knew that it would come down to how Kovalev/Jackson reacted to Ward's adjustments..... the adjustments that were ALWAYS going to come.

Reading comprehension is difficult for some. Others just read one line and jump to conclusions. Kovalev was holding to prevent the inside fighting. He wanted the ref to break them so he could get back to his range. Like Hunter said, he didn't want to fight, he wanted to box.

In the rematch, how does Kovalev prevent round 1 from being round 13?

Real talk Ward has to feel like bradley after the pacman fight. Hunter is talking out his assss. Kovalev beat ward convincingly. To beat the Champ you should have to dominate the Champ. Dre did not do that. When he toucched Kov, Kov touched him back two or three times. Those shots in the second had dre thinking about a way out. Pause the fight two seconds after that left and right that damn near turned him around, and you can see it in his eyes. Next. He didnt win the twelfth thata bs. Its a crookee decision. He got outboxed, out punched, because Kov threw more and landed more, and the got dropped heavy. Sour g****s my assss. Son lost straight up. Cant be a good feeling knowing you got a gift. Anybody feel different go back and watch it again.

Kov did a lot of head locking when Ward got inside.

He is too long , he is like a praying mantis all arms and legs it posed big problems for Ward and surprised just how far out he could jab him , when ever they came together Kov made sure to tie him up , it was good boxing on his part he actually outsmarted Ward on the inside which is where Ward wanted the fight to be , Kov surprised me with his boxing ability .

Kovalev outlanded Ward in the 10th and 12th rounds, he certainly didn't give up.

                      Also what's this ****:
"Those type of fighters, in a tough fight, are going to quit.... Kostya Tzsyu-Vince Phillips, Kostya Tszyu-Ricky Hatton, Cotto-Abdullaev, Klitschko-Byrd, Klitschko-Sanders. Historically, they don't want that kind of fight for whatever reason, and it's been proven throughout history."

                      What's going on there?
