WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36KOs) is back in fully training and eager to make a defense of his world title in the first quarter of 2017. Wilder broke his right hand and tore his bicep during his knockout victory over Chris Arreola in July. The surgery and rehabilitation pushed back plans to make a third defense in 2016. Wilder retained his title in January after knocking out Polish fighter Artur Szpilka.
