Pretty much. At this point neither side is willing to budge. Go to the purse bid and get this over with.

Nobody knows but we know that before it was ordered he was offered 2 Quillins and wanted more. 2 Quillins is more than 1

K2/MSG/reduced HBO budget does not want to go against Haymon/PBC/Barclay's/Showtime in a purse bid and be forced to either vacate or box on a network not named HBO. Negotiations is about leverage and fools on here talking about "being scared to lose", etc,.........are woefully shortsighted and/or confused.
You're reading way more into what Sanchez said than I am, man. Basically just said they can't do anything else til this ish is settled. That's all.

Purse bid needs to get done ASAP.

If Haymon's intent was merely to steal a march on HBO for a coupla months whilst SHO rolled out their Winter schedule - and I'm not saying it was - he did a pretty good job of it.

Sad thing is if this ish doesn't get made for whatever reason it's hardly going to encourage K2 to negotiate with Haymon fighters in the future.

That's because haymon overpayed all his fighters now they all want more money than what they're actually worth. Like how russell jr. wants more than a million per fight when his only named fighter on his resumé is an old jhonny gonzalez.

This is all great for Haymon, if they win a purse bid, they can feature ggg on a PBC or showtime card, great ratings for PBC, showtime would be indebted to Haymon for that move, he would be basically buying ratings and favors, as for Jacobs, I'm pretty sure he would whisper in Jacobs ear "take this official percentage, but i got u on the back end on the low" y'all don't realize this is all good for Jacobs Haymon side

This is what Jacobs and everyone saying K2 "should just pay him" don't understand. This fight's probably not worth more than 5-6 million. There's no possible way Jacobs can make "two Quillins" unless he gets like 50-50. Those saying to just give him his 3 million, well that vastly overpays Jacobs and ****s Golovkin royally.

Right now it looks like Haymon's years overpaying his fighters is yet again screwing boxing fans out of a fight. Jacobs and Quillin were not worth 1.5 million each, and Jacobs is not worth 3 million to make this fight. Hopefully Haymon can get it through Jacobs's thick head, unless he's helping Jacobs look for a way out.

They can't agree on the split, just take 10% of the purse and give it to the winner, and then split the rest 55-35. Or just do a 65-35 split, because Jacobs has a fan base in Brooklyn.

Haymon's job is to do what's best for Jacobs and for Haymon. At this point, that's K2 offering more than 25% or going to a purse bid. So either Team Jacobs gets more money, gets the opportunity to control the promotion or get a chance at the vacated belt as the Champion.
