Both sides indeed, both sides are losing time dealing with this. Maidana made a little more than that with his ppv take but then again Maidana was fighting a guy doing north of 500k in buys easily. Danny is at that stage where he could find himself just like Quillin fighting to get back in the spotlight should he take a loss.
You say they are both at fault but you only rant about Jacobs.
I believe Jacobs is comparing his worth to what Brooks made fighting GGG. Jacobs need to understand Brooks has a huge following in the UK & bought a lot to the table & that's why the fight was made in the UK. Jacobs doesn't bring much of anything to the table. The fight is only worth about $5 million at best & $3.5 million will go to GGG. Jacobs might as well give up his title & tuck his tail.
No he is not.
K2 offered Jacobs considerably less than he made fighting Quillan.
Jacobs just wants a little more than he made fighting Quillan...1.5 million....that's what he said long before the Brook fight.
This is an assumption nobody knows the answer to, so don't state it as fact. Plus showtime already announced their fights for the next few months I doubt at this point they are even interested in ggg jacobs
Can you read??? Because you would of saw the VERY 1st thing I said was "I think"
Next time read slower before u call someone out....Lil friendly advice.
I think you can't do grade school math. Didn't Loeffler call for the purse Bid a few days before it was due originally?
Didn't Kathy Duva call for the purse bid for Kovalev vs. Stevenson, and then pulled out when she realized she would lose the purse bid, and Kov was going to have to fight on Showtime? **** happens!
why do folks continue to tell this lie? Daniel Jacobs is coming to the table with Showtime being willing to put a significant amount of money behind the US TV rights, and a fight (Golovkin-Jacobs) that Lou DiBella can sell out Barclays Center with.
All DiBella needs to do is bid more than K2 (or any promoter) is willing to bid; K2 bids $4m, DBE bids $4.1m, and Lou DiBella covers his bid off of the Barclays Center live gate and the Showtime site fee (have no doubt that Eddie Hearn can work out a deal for the UK TV rights, among other revenue deals).
Jacobs gets $1m from the formal bid, plus a share on the upside of the event from DiBella.
So the team that was happy to send Wilder to Russia is going to break the bank for a non-entity like Jacobs?
