This is a great matchup. Why people feel the need to make everything personal or into "Us and them" I have no idea. I'm a fan of Kovalev but I expect Ward to win. I've said that since day one. There isn't a realistic fight for Ward that I don't favor him in. I respect both guys for taking this fight when so many others are avoiding the big challenges.

Kovalev never struggled against Chilemba, he dominated.

      Judge: Chris Flores 116-111
      Judge: Zoltan Enyedi 117-110
      Judge: Gustavo Jarquin 118-109

      HBO's Harold: 118-109

yeah its a myth on here that kovalev struggled in that fight. Kovalev won basically every round. Just cause he didnt blast chilemba out in a round everyones like 'kovalev was exposed!!'

JDJ feels that Kovalev struggled in the Chilemba fight so I don't know why people are in denial.
He clearly won but it wasn't easy for him and he made a lot of mistakes against an uninspiring foe. I hope he shows up much better this month.

          Uninspiring foe?

Chilemba is a very good counter puncher who has never been stopped. He came to win and gave a very strong effort.

Isaac should have another win or two on his resume, but like Kovalev he's a road warrior who isn't afraid to fight in other boxers' countries.

It wasn't Kovalev's best fight, I think probably returning to a venue where an opponent died after the fight was affecting him.

But just because Chilemba landed a few counters in rounds 4 and 5 and Sergey didn't stop him, doesn't mean Kovalev "struggled".

I think being in a somewhat tough fight with Chilemba. Is a much better way to prepare for a championship fight than fighting a super middleweight that's just trying to survive from the opening bell.

                Kovalev's trainer disagrees with you.

As far as Chilemba, I like him but he had no business fighting for world titles. He was coming off a clear loss and doesn't have a great record.

Nothing has changed. Us Kovalev fans aren't suddenly worried and changing our mind as the fight draws near. On the contrary it has mostly been Ward fans who give Kovalev zero chance to win. Guys like you don't just say you think Ward will win. You act like the fight is already over and Ward won a ud by three scores of 120 to 108.Of course the guys picking Kovalev to win say he will win by KO. He is a KO guy and that is how he usually wins his fights. The professional odds makers who don't give a damn who wins and just do their job see this as a very close fight and have Ward a slight favorite to win. Until they meet in the ring and the fight is over all of us are just guessing who the winner will be barring a draw, and that includes you.

I think it's safe to say that Ward isn't getting KOed, he doesn't fight like that. If he does, the whole boxing world will be ****ing shocked. Maybe he gets hit with some good shots but i think he has a much better fight than Kovalev does and wins.

kovolov got the power but he aint ready for SOG. we seen how the kid struggled against Chemba, now who's faster, more skilled and better stanima than Chemba? SOG.

all the cats talking about how kovolov KO's SOG is now saying it's a "close fight" smh.

Added to your red K bar because this is an exceptionally terrible thread, even for your wack azz.

Us Kovalev fans haven't changed at all since the fight was annouced which was A WHILE ago.

I haven't seen one Kovalev fan that isn't confident in a win or that believes Kovalev has less than a 50/50 chance.

Anyone who thinks this is a mismatch either way doesn't know boxing.

And there is a big chance Kovalev wins by stoppage, you thinking that's unrealistic just makes you look more ****** than we already know you are.

And the fact that you think Ward will school him makes you look even more ****** still, which is hard to believe.
