Agree with the possibility of fighting Chunky at 168 - or whoever comes out ahead in the Chunky / Jack / Mundo matchups, though this will almost certainly not be til late 2017, early 2018, at which point moving up then down again may be less feasible, guy could be 36 years old.

Yea i agree with this age factor here its unfortuned, that former USSR fighters often turn pro to late.

He is in danger of being forever known as a big, bruising middleweight bully, picking on smaller opponents while too scared to move up himself.

Definitley only if it is for the right fight. If he just moves up he will be matched with bums like he was at 160. Champs should only move up if they are getting a shot at a title or fighting someone that would put them in the position for a title shot. At 168 I would like to see GGG fight Jack, Degale, Zurdo, Groves and Bute. Those are the only real names at 168 right now. If he he can't get any big fights at 160 that is.

No I don't think he should ever move up. 160 is his optimal weight.

Joe spent 14 years at SMW before he moved up.

Yes, GG should move up, but not yet. Because he has unfinished business at MW and the best guys at SMW are tied up.

                In all fairness

                No

His legs are barely meant for 160 much less 168.

Golovkin has legs like he had the Rickets as a kid.

Saying that. i don't think he gets credit at 168 either. If he beats someone like DeGale, some people will be like "DeGale struggled with Medina". As it stands, Golovkin won't really get any credit from some people unless he went up to 175 and beat the best there. I'm a fan of his though but I don't see any reason why he can't jump to 175 though, other MW's have done it.
Other fighters have jumped from MW to LHW. But GG is 5'10, with a 70" reach, and he makes MW easily. He's not a big MW. Then you have to look at his style.

GG moving up to LHW, wouldn't be the same as how guys like Bernard and Roy moved up.

there is competition at 160 but he doesnt want to fight them either, all he wants to do is create an image of a great fighter while taking on scrubs and fool the common moron. he doesnt want to actually go for greatness and risk being exposed.

jacobs, canelo, lara, andrade, degale, jack, ramirez.. anyone would be fine, triple gay dont want it regardless of weight
                    What a moronic post.

If he moved up to SMW now, he wouldn't have any options.
