Comments Thread For: De La Hoya To Critics: I Strongly Feel Canelo-Golovkin Will Happen

The critics can rest easy, says Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya - because his company is on a mission to finalize the mega fight between Saul "Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.

Somehow Oscars statement fails to fill me with confidence. Nonetheless IMO K2 should ultimately accept that offer (or call Oscars bluff, depending on your take) if negotiations on a fairer split prove futile.

Make the fight for May 6th you cross dressing wacko. No more waiting around. Won't buy anything else and neither should anyone else.

This is ridiculous, that's almost another year from now! Who the hell wants to wait that long? Especially with the fight not even being guaranteed to happen. Damn this sport is so frustrating! Miss the old boxing days when it wasn't just about money and promotions and a bunch of fking cowards stinking up their divisions.

Everyone knows it will happen, the real question is when will GGG man it up and stop crying about he wants this, needs this, and just knuckle up and accept he the motherfucking B SIDE! So STFU EAT SHIT and take it to Canelo if you believe you truly can, thats what a real killer will do but a coward who dont think he can will of course will not dare step to the great CANELOLUJAH without that Severance pack intact!

You're absolutely right, Everyone is giving Canelo and DLH **** when it's GGG holding up the fight. Take your 10 million dollars and if you beat this gingerbread boy's ass, you'll be the A side for the rematch. For now though, quit trying to be the A side, a fking whiny little greedy diva and accept the 10 million bucks as that will easily be the most money he's ever made in one night and give the fans the fight they've been waiting for!

                make a realistic offer with a %

people talking about A side and B side have to realise that both guys deserve a & if it's 70-30 in canelo's favour or 60-40 in GGG's favour

                EVERYONE GETS PAID

don't just offer someone 10 million for a fight that could easily generate a million ppvs and then advertising etc etc

you're looking at easily 40 million from just the ppv

so the cross dresser should make a serious offer

GGG is gonna get a percentage

GGG will likely get 30-40%. And it's gonna amount to tens of millions of dollars. And if he would of listened to the dumb wannabe promoters on this thread, he'd of taken whatever flat fee that's being offered.

Here is some undeniable facts for the haters

K2 has taken an obscure Eastern European fighter and turned him into a global marketing machine. These comment board jumpers come on here and talk crap about K2 like they've ever turned anyone into a marketable athlete or have ever negotiated a mega fight.

GGG/k2 have worked the media and the casual fan base and cornered the so called "next Floyd" into either taking this risky fight (that he's almost ensured to lose) or further erode his stature and fan base.

You **** need to get real, not a single person in ggg camp gives a **** azz what you think about what deal he accepted.

Let me break down what you clowns were saying in 2015:
                  • Canelo won't fight ggg, he doesn't need too. No one will care.
                  • GGG isn't big enough attraction to make fans question Canelos status as a guy who takes tough fights.
                  • GGG will have to take 155 for **** off, it won't hurt Canelo.
                  • No one cares about ggg at all.

So yap all you want about this 155, that Ward, this Lara, that K2. Who gives a damn. GGG fate is in his own hands. He is the hottest name in boxing, so much that Arum is dropping it to hype a Manny fight. **** off with this BS b-side who has no say crap, it's simply at best a flawed reading of the situation.

ARE you serious! How is it ggg holding up a fight that is poised to happen in a year.

So you think ggg should sign for ten million now and not even try to get tens of millions, even though it's highly likely he will get a better deal.He should just sit back quietly wait until Canelo fights him in September, hoping that Mr. "Ginger headed I'm a MW Mexican who doesn't **** around here have my belt" can man up.

You think ggg should accept a deal now for a fight damn near a year away and not negotiate himself a better deal. Especially knowing that he's a Strong B+ side and a major component to making the biggest fight in the sport. Knowing he has the media and large swath of casuals supporting him. If Canelo wasn't tremendously under pressure, they would constantly be talking ggg name.

Ha, do yourself a favor, stay the **** away from negotiating anything. I mean don't even negotiate with your girlfriend, because you suck at this.
