What do you like most about boxing?

I like when shit goes wrong, and you can feel the anxiousness that is taking place -- an "Oh shit!" moment. Hopefully, Kovalev-Ward will deliver an Oh shit! moment or two like when Pacquiao severely rocked Mayweather in the fourth round. Or when Trinidad dropped Vargas twice in the first round. And somewhat recently when Kovalev knocked down B-Hop at the end of the first with a straight right to that big dumb Alien dome. :boobies:

I like it when professional boxers are analytical with actual in-ring scenarios on how to beat another fighter, like the way Atlas did for years.

For instance here, Marquez, who'd done about 50+ video scenarios for ESPN would know a thing or to on how to KTFO of Pacquiao in a 4th bout as Pac just twiddle dancing before pouncing his straight left....time it...wait for it...careless coming...wait...SLEEEP TIME zZzzzz

but they call it ''luck'' when #48 is destroyed into bits.

Bernard getting knocked down was a "oh crap" moment for you?

I thought it was expected, especially seeing as how Pascal dropped him a couple times in the first fight. I thought Kov would knock him down at least twice

Considering the type of boxer Hopkins is, yes. On another note, it's sad because apparently the Kovalev fight gave Hopkins brain damage.

Does Barrera-Hamed fall in that same category for you?

There are lots of people who do like boxing though and I think they have some pretty good reasons.

Here in SA, we recently had a featherweight title fight between the reigning South African, and former world champ Macbute Sinyabi, a veteran of 34 fights against Azinga Fuzile, his mandatory with 4 fights and 2 knockouts. Azinga Fuzile is a tricky southpaw, who while is not as talented, has clearly modeled himself on Floyd in my eyes. Mostly Pretty Boy Floyd, so he does crack.

The first two rounds were even, surprisingly. Then in the third round, Azinga began to land, and landed some bombs at the end of the round. That was a sign of things to come, as in the fourth round, Azinga battered Macbute so badly, he punched him THROUGH the ropes at the end of the round, and Macbute was genuinely saved by the bell as he stumbled back into the ring. Through rounds five to eleven, Azinga virtually landed at will. In the final round, Macbute NEEDED the knockout, and came out swinging. He was dropped twice, and was close to being knocked the **** out. At the end, Azinga "Golden Boy" Fuzile became the SA champ in his FIFTH fight, beating a dude who came out wearing Mayweather styled leather trunks, bravado, and "The King" written on his attire.

THAT'S what I love about boxing. At its purest, boxing is a sport that rewards the skilled, the hard working, and those with heart. And those who have all these traits get to the top of the sport.

I guess I love the brutal knock outs
I love the war and tear ups that we have
I also like the trash talking and drama before fights
I like seeing the progression certain fighters make over the years

My main hate is with how long it takes to get the guys you want to see fighting actually fighting and the mismatches which are purposely made for easy paydays because the top ranked fighters don't want to fight the best who they fear.

Pascal owning Bhop was pretty nice too, still can't believe how badly they robbed Pascal in that first fight.
