Floyd is top 15 at worst. This is getting silly now. It's not 2012 anymore. Gotta give the man his props.
    Top 15 at worst?

    Definitely debatable.

Don't understand the people who say it would make no difference. I mean, what world do you live in? That's like saying it didn't boost SRLs career to beat Hagler. I mean, it's just absolutely ridiculous.

You can say: "who did GGG beat" all you want, but that's a deflection tactic, we all know that. I'm not suggesting for one second that Mayweather should even consider taking on that task, but if he did and pulled it off?

Quite clearly against the toughest fight of his career, against the biggest fighter who punches the hardest and who's in his prime + in another weightclass?

Of course that would elevate his status tremendously!

That being said, Mayweather definitely don't "need" to do it. That doesn't mean it wouldn't have a tremendous positive affect on his career if he pulled it off.

Calzaghe obviously being the most laughable choice.

Pryor, Wlad, Vitali, Lennox, Marciano, Johnson, Dempsey all head scratchers also.

Judging from previous polls he's already in most of NSB's Top 30s

It would be a[nother] fantastic win doe

Wasn't hard at all to think of 30 people who have had a more impressive career than him this wouldn't be the case If he fought people when he should have fought them but he will tell you it himself he's a business man hence why he will question who he fights and when he fights them instead of asking for the best guy to be put in the same ring as him you can't ignore that fact he monopolized what he was doing far more than any of the guys on that list that and I think his best wins are damaged because of his habits.
Anyone who agrees with bold should be permabanned

Matter of fact almost this whole list made me lol

That's certainly up for debate. Between how GGG looked against a solid welter in Brook and what his resume looks like now, it wouldn't exactly be a Leonard-Hagler esque victory.

Who else would Mayweather have beaten who he was a considerable underdog against? Who's so much bigger, stronger, undefeated and in his prime?

Well, brook is not really a welterweight anyway, and if memory serves me right Hagler had a bad fights leading up to the Leonard fight as well.

So it would be quite similar.

Resume's aside, Aaron Pryor was one of the best fighters I ever saw.

Oh my God he could fight.

Odds don't tell you the full story. Someone who is successful as an amateur and looks excellent early in their pro career will have a harder time than others being picked as the underdog in a fight.

Beating GGG would be impressive because he is fundamentally sound, much larger, and a big puncher but not because GGG has earned the kind of accolades several other of Mayweather's opponents earned before fighting him.

I also don't think I agree that GGG is in his prime.

It would be impressive.. a win to put in his top 5 wins for sure.

Accolades isn't everything. GGG would beat everyone on Floyd's resume, the versions he fought anyway (Canelo). So I'm quite confident in saying it would be his biggest achievement.
