What if Floyd is the Eight Division champion, would he be a top 10 ATG?

I wouldn't change his ranking at all. I think he already is in the top 30. If he isn't in the top 30 when he has been a pro since he was 19 and a champion since he was 21 why would a big win at age 38 suddenly raise him up higher? He is many years past his prime and beating GGG wouldn't make his past fights any better. I rate fighters by how good they were at their very best and their entire career. I don't rate how good they are based on one great win when the were many years past their best. A win over GGG wouldn't improve his first fight with Castillo that I thought Mayweather lost.

He's probably around the Top 30 range already.

Hes well past top 30 now imo. If he is'nt at the bottom of the top 10 he is certainly knocking on the door somewhere in the top 15. I'm not much of a fan of his in the second half of his career, but I can't deny the man's resume. Beating GGG makes him a solid top 10 and certainly worthy of an argument for top 5.

It would be a big win, but in the scope of his entire career, it's not like it's changing much about who he is or how he'll be remembered. Just another brick in a wall of successful fights that people try to discredit afterward.

No? I think it would be considered his greatest accomplishment all things considered.

Really? Come on. Beating the undisputed middleweight champion who's an undefeated KO artist in his prime at 40 years old wouldn't change his ranking?

It would clearly be his biggest accomplishment.
