Because even if he would have beaten GGG (and i believe he would've done it easily) he would accomplish nothing, and then the haters such as yourself, would start saying he should fight someone like Krusher at 175. Because they would always create a boogeyman for Mayweather but he would beat them all.
And Mayweather fed himself from people like you, lol.

    Back to topic.

I do believe Canelo will beat Golovkin when he finally mans up and fights him. Which will be when Canelo has way more advantages than Bumlovin, but it's not like Bumlovin hasn't had fights where he had tons of advantages over his bums.
ggg said floyd was only fighter he'd meet at 154. so my point is, if floyd was happy to fight canelo at 154, why not GGG? i think GGG would have been seen as a pretty legit test lol, hes been top5 P4P for a while so smh at you making up that mayweather would get no credit if by some miracle he beat him. Mayweather would make GGG look clumsy and awkward for a few rounds but GGG would eventually stop him. Maidana was like one or two rounds from beating him, what do you think GGG would do to floyd? Hed have fought floyd like he did brook, no respect for his power and would have mauled him.

Floyd knows boxing better than anyone on this forum maybe he is right? Canelo might be a monster with the extra few pounds and snap golovkins neck

I wonder if Floyd sincerely thinks Canelo wins or if it's just some shade he's throwing at GGG . People make it seem like Canelo has no chance in hell of winning .

Lol @ hardcore ggg fans angry at a welter for not fighting him. FFS, grow up.

Floyd actually makes a great point about fan's opinions and courage. He proved me wrong. We tend to overlook Canelo because he's perceived as avoiding the fight. It gives the impression that he'd lose. I think it's pretty close though. I'd pick ggg because of Canelo's tendency to play defense too much and you can't do that against Golovkin. But, I'd not at all be surprised to see him finish Golovkin.

Basically is : Wait till GGG is 40 y/o then fight him! If Golovkin blasts out Canelo then Floyd would look silly since he fought a green dreined GINGER.

Floyd is on the right track with this. He knows boxing while you post on messageboards.

Not "people"... Canelo himself made it seem like that.

it could happen, one thing you noticed about ggg vs brook is that when brook fired off combos, almost everything connected since ggg barely moves his head, he just plows through you..canelo is in my opinion the best combination puncher in the sport. the canelo at 152 vs floyd and canelo now is night and day. .

canelo will light up ggg like a christmas tree with combos. hes also an excellent counter puncher. and defensively canelo has also improved tremendously, is like he studied his loss to floyd and picked up the things floyd executed.

so it's very possible for canelo to stop ggg. his hand speed, reflexes, combos, counters, defense, ggg's lack of head movement and willingness to trade all play to canelos strengths.

...but one thing canelo cannot do is lay on the ropes, thats when ggg batters you. at center ring there's no contest canelo will dominate big.

What happened when Canelo just offered his title to GGG ?

"I will fight him at 160lb, no problem," said Alvarez, who fought Khan at a catch-weight of 155lb.

"Weight will not be an issue - we can even fight for no belts. I would have fought him in the ring tonight. I'm not afraid of anyone."

This is what he wishes. Because the better Canelo does, the better the win looks on his resume. Then he can say, well I beat Canelo and he beat Golovkin so that will end the whole Golovkin vs. Mayweather talk.
