No one reads **** nowadays lol.

Brother the entire PBC first stage business model is largely based on them being the irrational player in the market for 4-5 years. Thats exactly what they have did & are doing. They started business in 2015 so look for not THAT much to change til 2019, 2020. Although I do expect some pivots to happen or arguably could have happened already.

So yea RIGHT NOW they are giving away some **** for free because they are trying to prove there is a nice juicy TV contract out there for professional boxing on free TV. Thats the mfing plan folks. If you or anyone else thinks its a dumbass plan...fair enough. It might end up being a dumbass plan in hindsight (& if you claimed it from the start you had the foresight too I guess) if PBC doesn't secure a TV deal before 2020, but with the viability of live sports being the last last bastion of hope for "regular" tv channels to keep a audience that is going online more & more & cutting the cord I think the odds are in PBC's favor of getting some nice fat check in the $80M+ per year range cuz boxing fans are nothing if not loyal & I believe some of the old fans could become reintroduced to boxing via "regular" TV & if PBC does some work towards bringing in completely new fans to boxing which have never been exposed to boxing over the next several years that isn't going to hurt the progress either.

But i guess anything to protect and defend yo mass haymon
Thank you for saving me the trouble of snapping on that idiot.

In years to come we're gonna hear about how a Haymon fighter is broke and up to no good and the idiot is gonna still blame the "sport" or "promoter." Without realizing that most people are complete fkin idiots with their money and just blow it. But hey, let's blame the sport, right?

They knew, they were just expecting better results. Partly, I think Haymon tried to create a monopoly, he enticed many fighters, but ultimately that scenario is far harder to do in boxing than perhaps he realized. I think he's learned that. And now, by budgeting the available funds he can reserve the money for the better, more meaningful fights.

Right now, he's probably just fishing for a tv deal which would explain why he threw pbc on so many different networks.

              Good.

I don't want PBC to fail. I just wanted them to change their ways because their old ways was leading to failure.

Great post this is my read on the situation too. It will be really interesting to see what his next move is. Danny Garcia vs tba is not a good start....

Giving it all for "FREE" doesn't seem realistic either especially if guys are going to demand bigger money so I think Wilder, Danny Garcia, Thurman, Broner and some of the others need to be on PPV and I think they can SELL PPV's especially if the load up the Card. But trying to keep them all on Network TV for Free doesn't seem realistic as fighters asking Prices start to go up after having some success
                  Danny Garcia on PPV? ROFL.

You are right that Haymon is looking for a TV deal no doubt about that and trying to really take control of the sport.

I don't agree though that he thought it would be easy, I think things are pretty much going the only way they could go. Haymon is a successful guy I can't think that he would think hey lets throw boxing on TV and it will all just work out great. He knew this path would be difficult, he might have hoped it would go a bit better but I don't think he was under any sort of illusion about this being a really long term project.
